Good afternoon kids! Today we are going to learn about countable and uncountable nouns!

You will start reading and learning about this topic in today’s activities but we

are going to talk about it in our virtual meets this week, so don’t worry if there is

something that you don’t understand!

There are things that we can count (countable) and things that we can’t count

(uncountable).

Look at the following poster:

When we want to ask questions about countable nouns, we have to say:

How MANY…?

How many bananas are there?🍌

How many dogs do you have?🐶

How many cookies did you eat?🍪

But, when we we want to ask questions about uncountable nouns, we have to say:

How MUCH…?

How much money do you need?💰💵

How much time do we have?⌚⏰

How much electricity do we spend in one day?⚡

When we want to say that there is a large quantity of a countable noun we have

to say: ARE A LOT OF...

There ARE A LOT OF trees in my garden.🌳

There ARE A LOT OF  students in my class.😊

There ARE A LOT OF animals in the zoo. 🦙🦘🐇

But, when we want to talk about a large quantity of an uncountable noun, we have

to say: There IS A LOT OF...

There IS A LOT OF traffic today!🚓🚌🚗

There IS A LOT OF cheese in my pizza🧀

There IS A LOT OF cereal in my bowl🍚

what we can find:

-How much water is there?
